Matriculants Urged To Apply For NSFAS Funding

Because the 2024 National Senior Certification (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the opportunity to apply for funding in the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

"The applying window will close on 15 December 2024, and there are not many days left to submit applications. Suitable learners are urged to apply immediately to secure financial help for their post-school education," Nkabane said.

Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Exams, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper 3.

Nkabane stated this pivotal moment marks the end result of several years of hard work and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their examinations with resolve and self esteem.

With Just over 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time candidates from across South Africa sit for this yr's matric examinations, across South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the nsfas general public with the department's preparedness to administer the examinations efficiently.
